My babies are getting big!! I CANNOT WAIT until I can make my first salad from our very own garden! Being able to run up to the roof and pick basil to whip into some pesto, make fresh salsa, make my own pickles, pick my own kale to “massage” into a salad, stuff fresh peppers…the possibilities are endless!!! Something about consuming a meal that we have grown from seed (for the most part) makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside…. My Grandpa Hawk would be so very proud

We are also growing blue basil, oregano, green onions and more peppers that I don’t have photographs of.
I also want to mention that those are soaker hoses in the pictures that are laying across all planter boxes. We plan to re-route those hoses through the boxes and set a timer on them so we don’t have to worry about watering every day. It’s gets HOT on that roof and we need to make sure they don’t go thirsty when we aren’t around to water them.
